COVID-19 Procedure Updates

All of us at Citrus sincerely pray that this letter finds you well.

We are pleased to announce that as of June 26th, Citrus has reopened its doors.

It's been a delight to see many of you again! Thank you for supporting us. We look forward to serving you all again.

Our business is to provide beauty and wellness services where it requires us to be in close proximity to our customers. We are working tirelessly day and night to be able to provide these services to you in a safe manner. Our main priority is the health and welfare of everyone who walks through our doors including our wonderful staff.

Please take a moment to look over our procedural changes and measures we have put in place for you and our staff. If you have any concerns or requests, we will do everything we can to make it comfortable for you.

Procedure updates after re-opening

  1. Only clients who are receiving services will be permitted to enter Citrus. Individuals who accompany clients and are not receiving services will not be permitted to enter.
  2. Employees and clients will be subject to a temperature check upon entering the building.
  3. We will be instituting a curbside check-in system where clients will notify us when they arrive. We will usher clients in the building one at a time to ensure social distancing guidelines are met.
  4. Staff members will be required to where masks at all times. Clients will wear masks to the extent possible when receiving services.
  5. Clients will be asked to immediately wash or sanitize their hands when they enter the building.
  6. Capes will be laundered after each use. Disposable items will be discarded immediately after each use.
  7. Clients will be situated throughout the space to meet social distancing standards.
  8. Staff members will have two sets of implements and tools and will have one set dry for wet sanitizing while using the other and rotate them after each client.
  9. Employees who are sick will be expected to stay home.
  10. Employees will be required to be Barbicide certified before returning to work. Employees will be additionally trained on proper sanitation, hand washing, cough and sneeze etiquette, using PPE, and other protective behaviors.
  11. Staff members will be required to maintain social distancing guidelines to the extent possible when not servicing clients.
  12. Staff will be required to wash their hands and/or change their gloves after each client.
  13. Surfaces will undergo a two-step sanitizing process. EPA disinfectants will be used after an initial cleaning process.
  14. Contact time requirements will be followed to allow for proper sanitizing to take place.
  15. Immersion disinfectants will be changed daily.
  16. Cash in our ATM machine will be properly disinfected before stocking.
  17. Clients will be asked to properly disinfect their cash if that is how they intend on paying for their services.
  18. A minimal amount of retail will be on display. This will allow us to keep them sanitary. Products will be disinfected each day and disinfected at the time of purchased as well.
  19. When available hand sanitizer will be provided for staff and client use.
  20. Signage will be posted throughout the entire property to communicate our procedures.
  21. Medical grade wipes will be available for clients to disinfect our ATM machine before and after each use.
  22. All non-necessary items will be removed throughout our space.
  23. Shampoo bowls as well as any work station, treatment room, drying station, manicuring table, pedicure bowl, and client chair etc. will be disinfected before and after each use.
  24. Initially, we will not be offering a self-drying station for client use.
  25. Only staff members will be permitted to enter work stations, cabinets, and drawers.
  26. Plexiglass barriers will be used where necessary for protection purposes.
  27. All treatment rooms and work stations as well as product containers, linens, and all other items will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before re-opening.
  28. Antibacterial soap will be provided at all sinks.
  29. Hand shaking, fist pumping, and hugging (as much as we want to) will not be permitted until further notice.
  30. All clients, except those needing handicap accessibility will enter through our rear entrance and exit through our side entrance. The common area entrance from the front of the building will be temporarily closed to Citrus patrons. Clients needing to enter our side (ground level) entrance will notify us when they arrive and we will usher them in when we can do so while maintaining social distancing.
  31. Self-serve refreshments will not be available until further notice.

What we've done so far

  1. We are undergoing an area by area rigorous cleaning and sanitation process.
  2. All duct work and vents has been cleaned and new HEPA filters installed.
  3. Carpets and upholstered furniture have been steam cleaned and sanitized.
  4. Purchased 2 new commercial washer and dryer units with sanitizing modes.
  5. Purchased UV light wands for sanitizing porous surfaces.
  6. Purchased multiple UVC lamps for sanitizing closed rooms such as treatment and wax rooms. These powerful lamps will kill viruses and bacteria in 15-30 minutes.
  7. Purchased and installed a UV light cabinet for dry sanitizing brushes, implements, shields, and cash.
  8. Ordered and installed multiple plexiglass shields to protect patrons and staff members.
  9. Completely re-laundered every linen in the building.
  10. Re-sealed all stone countertops multiple times for easier and more efficient sanitation.
  11. Purchased multiple gallons of EPA medical-grade cleaners.
  12. Purchased thousands of EPA medical-grade cleaning wipes.
  13. Purchased multiple gallons of Barbicide and Clippercide to wet sanitize implements.
  14. Purchased thousands of protective gloves.
  15. Purchased thousands of disposable masks for color services.
  16. Completely renovated and painted our offices and break room for our staff to enjoy and feel they are in a safe clean space.
  17. Rearranged our furniture to ensure social distancing.
  18. All Citrus employees will be Barbicide certified.
  19. All retail on shelves will be re-cleaned and sanitized before opening.
  20. Purchased a new and updated dishwasher to ensure glasses and mugs are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  21. Purchased sanitizing trays for each station.
  22. Purchased new Barbicide jars for each station.
  23. Purchased infrared thermometers for temperature checks.
  24. Signage is being made to inform clients of our new procedures.
  25. Completely renovated our back bar.
  26. Painted multiple areas within the space.
  27. Purchased new mops, brooms, buckets, and dust pans for cleaning.
  28. All wax pots have been replaced.
  29. Removed all unnecessary items throughout the space to reduce the chance of cross-contamination.

Our staff has been absolutely impeccable in following our strict guidelines.

We will continue to monitor and re-enforce our efforts as needed.
